5 Games We’re Looking Forward To In April

March has come and gone, and with it we got to experience a handful of excellent titles on a number of platforms. Tom Clancy’s The Division was able to double-tap its way into our hearts like few other multiplayer shooters have managed to do in recent years, and Agent 47’s latest adventure lodged its way into our grey matter like a well placed bullet from a sniper rifle in Hitman. Even MMO fans, the jaded bunch that they are, saw a fantastic addition to their genre of choice last month with Black Desert Online. While there were plenty of great new games to roll out last month, even a timeless classic managed to find its way into the PlayStation 4, Vita and PC with Day of the Tentacle Remastered.

Simply put, March was a great month for gaming, and April looks to continue that trend with a slew of exciting upcoming releases. That said, here are five games we can’t wait to get our hands on when they release this month.

5. King’s Quest Chapter 3: Once Upon a Climb (PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC)

The Odd Gentleman’s episodic reboot of Sierra’s classic King’s Quest series really managed to wow us when it kicked off last year. From its stunning visuals and clever puzzles to its biting sense of humor, King Graham’s adventures were more memorable than ever as he recounted his ascension to the throne that began with a daring quest that took the young adventurer on a fast-track to a knighthood and left us hanging after a surreal trek into the depths of a troll-filled cavern.

The third episode, Once Upon a Climb, is a romantic comedy that tells the story of King Graham’s wife and Gwendolyn’s grandmother, Queen Valanice. Longtime fans may think they know the legend of how Graham rescued his future bride from the wicked witch Hagatha’s tower. But developer The Odd Gentleman assures us that the truth behind the fairytale is much more complicated. In any case, we can’t wait to experience the next chapter of Graham’s saga when it releases on April 26.
