Well folks, it’s a bit later in the day than I wanted to get this done, but as long as I’m upright, you can count on the Nintendo Download every Thursday. And the Nintendo Download for 8/27/26 is worth the wait! We have several featured titles, music, My Nintendo, digital games and even the Blockbuster Sale. But let’s start with a particularly exciting JRPG adventure that just arrived.
Into the Abyss
NIS America has published a lot of great JRPG adventures, but even by that standard, Brigandine Abyss looks pretty distinct. For one thing, it mixes strategy RPG and war simulation. For another, there’s 24 different nations to play as, each with unique win conditions for conquering the globe. Throw in some lush artwork, and it has potential.
If you’re looking to relive a classic, you might prefer Console Archives Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess. For a dungeon crawler, try Quest of Dungeons. Or if you’re looking for fun in the water, try Another Crab’s Treasure and Lou’s Lagoon. Lastly, fans of epic action games should get the Switch 2 version of Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo, and rogue-like fanatics should enjoy Dogpile and Moonlighter 2.
