    Ah, this video! I remember coming across this last year. Of course, as a snot nosed Sega kid in 1991 I was up to my eyeballs in Genesis carts when the Nintendo Moms went berserk over the SNES, so this whole commotion was totally unnoticed by me.

    It’s funny that this called so much of a brouhaha though, especially when you consider how happy we are these days when a system lasts the six years the NES did before its successor was released.

    While we’re talking about old gaming footage, have you ever seen those classic Funcoland training videos? They’re nothing short of comic gold.

    At that time “upgrading” consoles was unheard of. Parents knew that if this upgrade was successful that all game companies would catch on and have kids begging their parents every year for another new console.
