Kenny McKee

Starting out with nothing more than a Game Boy and a copy of Donkey Kong Land, Kenny has happily been gaming for almost his entire life. Easily-excitable and a bit on the chatty side, Kenny has always been eager to share gaming-related thoughts, opinions, and news with others and has been doing so on Hey Poor Player since 2014 and has previously worked with both PKMNcast and SCATcast. Although his taste in gaming spreads across a wide number of companies and consoles, Kenny holds a particular fondness for Nintendo handheld consoles. He is also very proud of his amiibo collection. You can also find him on Twitter @SuperBayleef talking about video games and general nonsense. Some of his favorite games include Tetris Attack, Pokémon Black Version 2, The World Ends With You, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, Yo-kai Watch, Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Kirby's Dreamland 3, Mega Man X, and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (among many others).

Vectronom Review (Switch)

Roy G. Beats     Vectronom is an interesting little number. A rhythm game in the truest sense of the term, nearly every little thing that you do in Vectronom all comes down to how well you can move to the beat. But, the game would be easy if…

Kotodama: The 7 Mysteries of Fujisawa Review (PS4)

Connecting the Dots     Making the jump from video game publisher to a developer isn’t something that you see too often, especially when said company’s been publishing for quite some time. While the two may seem similar to the untrained eye, there’s a world of difference between the two,…

Dragon Star Varnir Review (PS4)

Knighthood can be a Real Drag     I’ve reviewed my fair share of Compile Heart JRPGs during my time as a reviewer. Enough that I’ve gotten to the point that I pretty much know what I’m getting myself into when I boot up one of their games, even…

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II Review (PS4)

Greatness Awaits     This review isn’t my first experience with The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II. Because of that, the game, and all of its masterfully crafted twists and turns that it throws at its players, didn’t catch me off-guard. Its ups, its downs, its similes,…

Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland Review (Switch)

A Step in the Right Direction     I’ve been very upfront about how big of an Atelier fan I am for quite some time. Beginning with Atelier Iris (the first in the series to hit the US) and following it up until this very point, the Atelier series is one which I’ve been following…

GUST Unveils Upcoming Atelier Raiza for PlayStation 4, Game to Launch this Fall

Yes, the image is supposed to be blurry     Atelier Lulua may have just hit the West last week, but Atelier series developer GUST has announced that their next Atelier title is already in the works. Originally reported on by Gematsu, the upcoming Atelier game, titled Atelier Raiza: The Queen of Eternal Darkness…
