Kenny McKee

Starting out with nothing more than a Game Boy and a copy of Donkey Kong Land, Kenny has happily been gaming for almost his entire life. Easily-excitable and a bit on the chatty side, Kenny has always been eager to share gaming-related thoughts, opinions, and news with others and has been doing so on Hey Poor Player since 2014 and has previously worked with both PKMNcast and SCATcast. Although his taste in gaming spreads across a wide number of companies and consoles, Kenny holds a particular fondness for Nintendo handheld consoles. He is also very proud of his amiibo collection. You can also find him on Twitter @SuperBayleef talking about video games and general nonsense. Some of his favorite games include Tetris Attack, Pokémon Black Version 2, The World Ends With You, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, Yo-kai Watch, Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Kirby's Dreamland 3, Mega Man X, and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (among many others).

STATIONflow Review (PC)

Going with the Flow     Times sure are strange, huh? It’s weird how many things we’ve taken for granted that we aren’t able to access as readily right now. It’s also kind of funny how easy it is to miss those things—be they working, going to school, casually…

Alder’s Blood Review (Switch)

Creeping Toward Progress     Having been raised on the likes of Final Fantasy Tactics (and, yes, I mean the entire trilogy), it’s definitely not a long shot to say that I’ve developed a specific taste when it comes to the tactical role-playing genre. I like carefully crafting a team…

Exit the Gungeon Review (PC)

It’s Time to Ride the Bullet Hellevator     Well, folks, it’s finally time. We’ve, at this point,  spent years entering the gungeon alongside the Pilot, Marine, Hunter, and Convict (plus a few others). There’s been plenty of shooting, looting, shooting, dying, and shooting. And, when everything’s said and…

La-Mulana 1 & 2 Review (Switch)

Generations of Fun     Boy, things sure are a little crazy right now, aren’t they? I’m, um, sure that you’ve noticed that yourself, though (unless you’re reading this way off in the future, I guess). With all of this staying at home and riding things out business going…

Persona 5 Royal Review (PS4)

Stealing My Heart Once Again     It’s no secret that ATLUS has a knack for taking their already highly polished Persona games and, although I’m not always sure how, making them even better than they were initially. From remakes of classics—like Shin Megami Tensei: Persona, and Persona 2: Innocent Sin (which…

BE Witches Preview (PC)

A Cup Above the Rest     Wow. Okay, so, I’m not even sure where to begin with this game. Remember being a kid and talking about mashing all of your favorite games into a single one, and daydreaming about how cool that would be? That’s essentially what BE Witches is—a…
