Kenny McKee

Starting out with nothing more than a Game Boy and a copy of Donkey Kong Land, Kenny has happily been gaming for almost his entire life. Easily-excitable and a bit on the chatty side, Kenny has always been eager to share gaming-related thoughts, opinions, and news with others and has been doing so on Hey Poor Player since 2014 and has previously worked with both PKMNcast and SCATcast. Although his taste in gaming spreads across a wide number of companies and consoles, Kenny holds a particular fondness for Nintendo handheld consoles. He is also very proud of his amiibo collection. You can also find him on Twitter @SuperBayleef talking about video games and general nonsense. Some of his favorite games include Tetris Attack, Pokémon Black Version 2, The World Ends With You, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, Yo-kai Watch, Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Kirby's Dreamland 3, Mega Man X, and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (among many others).

Gensokyo Defenders Review (Switch)

Pretty Cool     The fast-and-frantic bullet hell action of the Touhou series is something that’s earned it quite a bit of respect from plenty of people – myself included. However, when it comes to Touhou spin-offs… maybe not so much. The past two Touhou-branded offshoots that I’ve reviewed…

Child’s Play     I’ve reviewed enough point-and-clicks by now that my whole “I don’t play very many of these” schtick is probably beginning to wear its welcome. It’s not that I do play a lot of them – because I don’t – but, personal preferences be damned, one…

Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight Review (PS4)

Shining Brightly     Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight is something that I’ll admit that I never saw coming (hah, get it?). At least, not this quickly. I mean, the game hadn’t even been out in the West for an entire year before ATLUS started talking about it getting…

Persona 3 Dancing in Moonlight Review (PS4)

Everybody’s Dancing in the Moonlight     I’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight ever since I saw their initial Japanese trailers, but, between you and me, P3D is the one that I’ve been the keenest on playing.…

Tied Together Review (Switch)

Simply Knot Enough     Making a game exclusively multiplayer is a risky move. If you want it to do well, you really have to know what you’re doing. You need to make sure that each of your game’s elements line up, and that having multiple players mess about…
