Kenny McKee

Starting out with nothing more than a Game Boy and a copy of Donkey Kong Land, Kenny has happily been gaming for almost his entire life. Easily-excitable and a bit on the chatty side, Kenny has always been eager to share gaming-related thoughts, opinions, and news with others and has been doing so on Hey Poor Player since 2014 and has previously worked with both PKMNcast and SCATcast. Although his taste in gaming spreads across a wide number of companies and consoles, Kenny holds a particular fondness for Nintendo handheld consoles. He is also very proud of his amiibo collection. You can also find him on Twitter @SuperBayleef talking about video games and general nonsense. Some of his favorite games include Tetris Attack, Pokémon Black Version 2, The World Ends With You, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, Yo-kai Watch, Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Kirby's Dreamland 3, Mega Man X, and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (among many others).

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV Review (PS4)

An Incredible End to an Incredible Journey     I have really been looking forward to playing The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV. So much so, in fact, that I insisted on playing through CSII and CSIII beforehand just to make sure that as much of the game’s story as…

Prinny 1•2: Exploded and Reloaded Review (Switch)

1,000 (Frustrating) Ways to Die     Prinny 1•2: Exploded and Reloaded is the most inherently polarizing platformer that I’ve had the pleasure(?) of playing since Cuphead. It’s purposefully difficult, has an insanely high learning curve, and seems to love nothing more than making players go through the same…

Ys Origin Review (Switch)

As Strong as Ever     It isn’t often that I find myself calling a video game “refreshing.” A word like that is reserved more for something like a cold glass of water, crisp mountain air, or avoiding your responsibilities by staying in bed all day. Using that same…

Disgaea 4 Complete+ Review (PC)

Sweeter ‘n a Barrel of Sardines     Things are looking up for Disgaea fans right now, dood. Between the recent announcement of Disgaea 6 (finally!), and Prinny 1 & 2 soon to be making itself much more accessible to players, chances are good that if you’re a fan of NIS’s netherworld antics then you’re…
