Put Up the Heat Shields!
Well folks, I think that Nintendo is still on holiday time. Not only does the Nintendo Download for 1/12/23 continue the perplexing trend of no new featured titles, but it has no new publisher sales to boot. Instead, we have an odd focus on games with hats, which I’ll cover shortly. That said, please stick around for our coverage of this week’s Game Guide sales and digital goodies. Just keep in mind this will be a short one.
Breaking The Pattern
As mentioned earlier, here’s what this Nintendo Download has instead of new featured titles:
These Games Have “Hat” It! – It’s National Hat Day this week, so why not make like Mario and tip your lid with these behatted Nintendo friends! Mario and Luigi likely come to mind first when considering favorite capped characters, and you can join them on several adventures on the Nintendo Switch system, including Super Mario Odyssey, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Party Superstars and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury. Of course, Hyrule wouldn’t be the same without its green-hatted hero Link – even if he starts off in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild … hatless! Don’t worry, though, it won’t be long before you have an opportunity to gather up some gear to accompany his pointed ears. Then, cap things off with Kirby as he dons a variety of Copy Abilities – complete with fashionable headwear! – in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Super Mario Odyssey, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Party Superstars, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Kirby and the Forgotten Land are all available now in Nintendo eShop.
Stratosphere Of Savings
That was odd. Let’s continue with some Game Guide sales, shall we? To brave post apocalyptic waters, try Trash Sailors for $9.99. Fans of bundles can try Arise + What Lies in the Multiverse Bundle for $7.99. Or to save your idiot husband, try Wife Quest for $5.59. Horror fans should try The Letter for $9.99. Lastly, for a futuristic beat ’em up, try Aeon Must Die! for $9.99.
Detect More Deals
That’s not nearly enough. Here’s some more sales! To get high on strategy, try Weedcraft Inc. for $19.99. For hardcore adventures, try No Place For Bravery for $16.99. To dance with arachnid death, try SpiderHeck for $11.99. Or blast away mutants in Spidersaurs for $13.99. And if you’re a fanatic for deckbuilders, try Roguebook for half off at $12.49.
That Dragon Life
Believe it or not, we’re nearly at the end. But first, how about some promising new digital games? Fans of retro can try Breakers Collection, DUSK ’82 and NEScape! If you enjoy games with story, try the following – Burrow of the Fallen Bear, Chasing Static, Rooten and Suhoshin. For those that fancy a good puzzle, try Bazzle and Memorrha. Those that enjoy twin-stick shooters might enjoy Lone Ruin. Or for an action-packed Shmup, try Wings of Bluestar. Platformer enthusiasts have Mrs.Cat Between Worlds, Shieldmaiden: Remix Edition and Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider. If you enjoy simulation games, try Drago Noka. Or to play a massive monster, try Terror of Hemasaurus. Finally, fans of fighting games might try Fight of Steel: Infinity Warrior.
Fight the Future
There you have it. Another oddly stunted but still enjoyable Nintendo Download. Thanks for tuning in, and check back with HPP next week for what’s hopefully a more normal Nintendo Download!
