Leaving Good Impressions
Greetings Travelers, today we’ll be taking a look at another round of leaks that have just recently surfaced regarding Nahida, Layla, and the upcoming Dendro Hypostasis! As always, take everything you read here with a grain of salt, and all of what I’m about to show has the potential to change over time. Also, for the sake of ensuring content stays online, I’ll be posting the links to the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit, since the footage on Twitter tends to get taken down often. That said, I’ll still be linking to the respective original poster’s Twitter account, where the leaks tend to surface from.
First and foremost, let’s take a look at some gameplay footage of our two upcoming playable characters. First up is Nahida (or, as some know her, Kusanali), a 5-Star Dendro Catalyst user, with footage captured by @Ubatcha.
Just from first impressions, her magitech Dendro attacks are equal parts fascinating and utterly adorable. She appears to jump on this magitech cube to summon attacks, and, from the looks of it, seems to have a bit of a shorter range. I haven’t seen the full details yet, but her Elemental Skill seems to borrow similar designs and mechanics that we saw with the Fayz Trial and its photograph mode that would highlight enemy weakpoints and deal damage to them. Not only that, but rumors are circulating that it can be used to gather resources too. As for her Burst, I haven’t heard anything at all about whatever it does, but it sure looks cool! While the effect it has is unknown, the range on it is astounding.
Next up, we have Layla, a 4-Star Cryo Sword Wielder, whose gameplay footage is also leaked by Ubatcha.
As a theoretical astrologist in-game and an Akademiya student, Layla radiates real college student energy, with her Elemental Skill creating a bubble shield while she takes a nap inside. Even her neutral facial image has her looking like she hasn’t slept in weeks (posted by @festivizing here on Twitter).
While little information is known about her Elemental Skill and Burst, her Cryo powers and strange chandelier she makes for her Burst definitely seem interesting.
You can also see the stats of Nahida’s signature weapon, A Thousand Floating Dreams, courtesy of Ubatcha via this Tweet. The genie lamp-esque Catalyst looks pretty good for any DPS Catalyst user, encouraging Elemental Reactions overall.
Next up, we have some leaks involving the Dendro Hypostasis, our final Hypostasis!
So here’s where we have some good news and bad news. Good news is, there’s already leaks of the Dendro Hypostasis fight. The bad news is that the footage is horribly difficult to watch as the camera is freaking out the whole while, jumping erratically. If you can stomach the motion sickness, you can see some glimpses of what to look forward to with the Dendro Hypostasis. Those not so keen on shaky-cam footage, you’d best skip this one. I’m not going to post that video itself here in the article, but rather, I’ll leave the link here for anyone willing to brave the camera issues.
That’s all for this round of leaks, but be sure to stay tuned for more of the latest Genshin Impact news and guides!
