Eastasiasoft Announces Collaboration with Softstar Through 2023

Eastasiasoft Is Keeping Things Interesting

Softstar | Xuan Yuan Sword 7 Switch

Eastasiasoft made a pretty big announcement today. They’re collaborating with Taipei-based team Softstar to publish 4 upcoming games both this year and into 2023. For those unfamiliar, Softstar is well known for Chinese RPG and simulation titles. As for what games are coming, 3 of them are new, and 1 is just coming to a new system. Those games are the following The Bridge Curse: Road to Salvation, Sea Horizon, Sword and Fairy Inn 2 and Xuan Yuan Sword 7 finally coming to Nintendo Switch. All these titles will eventually be available on Sony and Microsoft consoles as well.

Softstar | The Bridge Curse

First, a few details on each of these Softstar games. The Bridge Curse: Road to Salvation is a cinematic horror game with a first person perspective. Explore a haunted campus where one of Taiwan’s best known supernatural incidents occurred. Can you stealthily avoid a deadly ghost and put the pieces together to unveil the mystery in time? The Bridge Curse is coming sometime in 2023.

Softstar | Sea Horizon

Next up from Softstar is Sea Horizon, a turn-based tactical adventure. It’s presented with a hexagonal grid from a bird’s eye perspective, and also happens to feature rogue-like elements. Not to mention, there’s dice rolls and randomized battle cards to keep things fresh. For those interested, Sea Horizon is coming digitally to Nintendo Switch first this October, though later on it will come to other consoles. It’ll also get a physical edition courtesy of Playasia.

Softstar | Sword and Fairy Inn 2

For fans of cute and casual fare, look no further than Sword and Fairy Inn 2. Manage a restaurant, discover legendary cooking utensils and create delicious dishes, all set to a chibi visual style. Most importantly of all, keep your customers happy!

Softstar | Xuan Yuan Sword 7

Last but not least we have Xuan Yuan Sword 7, which HPP previously reviewed. It brings visceral combat, epic storytelling and real time combat to the Nintendo Switch in 2023. While it’s unclear how much of a hit the graphics might take in the bargain, I’m still optimistic it’ll be an interesting addition to Nintendo’s vast library of games.

There you have it! Be sure and check out the trailer below. And stay tuned to HPP for more exciting reveals from eastasiasoft and Softstar!
