King Deshret and the Three Magi
Greetings Travelers! Today we’ll be taking a look at all the (literal) hotness abound for Genshin Impact as 3.1 takes us to the desert side of Sumeru! New characters, bosses, and more are coming up soon, so let’s take a look at what’s on the menu!
First and foremost, here are the codes for the free Livestream Primogems.
We’ll be seeing three new characters join us this time around. We’ll have Cyno, a 5-Star Electro Spear user, Candace, a 4-Star Hydro Spear user, and Nilou, a 5-Star Hydro Sword user.
Next, we’ll take a look at the banners this time around, with Cyno leading the pack alongside Candace. Venti will be sharing the spotlight with Cyno as a rerun banner.
After that, we’ll be having Nilou and a rerun banner for Albedo.
We’ll be seeing some new weapons enter the banners as well.
The trip to Sumeru is about to heat up as the desert area will be opened up for 3.1, with new villages, scenery, and technologically advanced ruins to explore, the biggest being the Mausoleum of King Deshret.
One of the things to look out for in the techno-pyramids is a new boss. Appearing as a sharper, pointier version of the Perpetual Mechanical Array, this new boss features active cloaking and a plethora of lasers, possibly making it the most high-tech boss yet.
The other mechanical beast we’ll be taking on is the Aeonblight Drake, a Ruin machine that’s half drake, half VTOL.
We’ll also be seeing The Doctor and Scaramouche making a return, more than likely up to no good as always, with hints that we may just be taking these two on as bosses here in the near future. They’ll likely at least be making an appearance in the new Archon quest.
Moving past the sandswept side of Sumeru, we’ll be seeing a fun new festival show up for Mondstadt called Weinlesefest, where a new wine is created for the Anemo Archon to drink and judge if it’s good or not. During this festival, we’ll also be treated to a story focused on Razor, and will feature a multitude of Mondstadt characters to interact with along the way.
For the festival, there will be four different little minigames to enjoy. Doing all of these fun little activities will earn you Festive Fever, which will earn you a plethora of rewards, including a 4-Star Spear called the Missive Windspear.
- Autumn Crisis – Driving out some troublesome boars for the local hunters using only normal attacks and traps.
- Highwind Trial – Combat-focused minigame where you can use Sublime Anemograna to give yourself buffs for taking on powerful enemies.
- Charity and Creativity – Business running simulator, where you complete side-objectives to get funds for your shop, and learn how to best use your Usable Funds when running the store.
- Fecund Blessings – Gift boxes will give you clues on where to find unique Treasure Chests scattered around Mondstadt.
For the next event, we’ll be taking a look at something called Wind Chaser, where an adventurer is taking a look at a strange Domain that’s very focused on directing wind currents. You’ll use changeable wind current generators to navigate obstacle courses, collecting Windcoins along the way and taking down the occasional enemy.
After that, we have the Star-Seeker’s Sojourn event, which is focused on exploring, taking along a special gadget, and using it to home in on where “Future Stars” will be at.
Lastly, we have yet another appearance of the Hyakunin Ikki event, a tag-team battle arena where you’ll only have two characters each to a team, with a maximum of six teams. Defeat enough enemies, and your score will net you rewards.
There will also be a login event called Path of Gleaming Jade. Just log in for seven days and reap the rewards, including a new pet called Cloud Retainer’s Demasked Device. Something else to keep in mind is that the top-up bonus for the in-game shops will also be resetting for the anniversary!
As a little teaser, we also got our first look at the Genshin Impact in-game TCG called Genius Invokation! You’ll be able to play this game with a plethora of characters and NPCs, and all of the cards can be acquired through gameplay.
For the grand finale, though, the best was most definitely saved for last. Genshin Impact is partnering up with ufotable(the studio behind Fate/Zero and Demon Slayer) to bring us a Genshin Impact anime!
That covers everything for this livestream, and you can check out the livestream in full below.
These are some truly exciting times ahead of us. It’s been quite a year, with a lot of new content and good memories to go with them. Here’s to another wonderful year of Genshin Impact! As always, stay tuned for more of the latest Genshin Impact news and guides!
