MGM’s cult horror classic Killer Klowns from Outer Space gets the asymmetrical horror treatment courtesy of Teravision Games
Announced during today’s Gamescom Opening Night Live, Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game is a 3v7 multiplayer title inspired by the 1988 cult horror classic. It pits the cotton candy-crazed klowns against humans fighting to save the town of Crescent Grove from their festively-dressed, extraterrestrial invaders. The game features multiple character classes and “an ever-changing map with creepy surprises around every corner.”
Fans of the film should be happy to know the game is in good hands. Developed by Bogotá, Colombia-based studio Teravision Games and published by Good Shepherd Entertainment, work on Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game is being led by Friday the 13th: The Game Executive Director Randy Greenback.
“It’s a total bucket list item to get to work on the next chapter of such an iconic horror IP like Killer Klowns, especially getting the chance to partner with the original creators of the film and pair them with an incredibly talented development team like Teravision,” said Greenback in a press release distributed today. “I can’t wait for everyone to see what rockstars they are and the craziness we’re bringing to the genre.”
