Pokémon: The Arceus Chronicles

Netflix has announced that Pokémon: The Arceus Chronicles will be debuting exclusively on their streaming platform later next month.

Inspired by Pokémon Legends: Arceus—a game which, itself, marked an exciting time for both the series and its fans due to its fresh and unique take on the iconic Pokémon gameplay formula—The Arceus Chronicles sees Ash and his traveling companions setting out on a brand-new adventure within a very old version of Sinnoh! If you’re eager to get a closer look at things, feel free to check out the trailer down below.

Pokémon: The Arceus Chronicles will be available for your viewing pleasure starting September 23 and is currently set to be a Netflix exclusive. If you’re finding that you just can’t wait that long, though, the movie is also slated to premier on August 19 as part of a special 2022 Pokémon World Championships screening event. Unfortunately, said event is all the way over in London, meaning that most people (myself included) won’t be making it to the movie’s initial debt, but, hey, a month isn’t that long to wait. So, what are your thoughts on this upcoming Pokémon Legends: Arceus-inspired movie? Will you be watching it? Are you one of the lucky few who will be able to see it 10 days from now? Either way, let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

Starting out with nothing more than a Game Boy and a copy of Donkey Kong Land, Kenny has happily been gaming for almost his entire life. Easily-excitable and a bit on the chatty side, Kenny has always been eager to share gaming-related thoughts, opinions, and news with others and has been doing so on Hey Poor Player since 2014 and has previously worked with both PKMNcast and SCATcast. Although his taste in gaming spreads across a wide number of companies and consoles, Kenny holds a particular fondness for Nintendo handheld consoles. He is also very proud of his amiibo collection. You can also find him on Twitter @SuperBayleef talking about video games and general nonsense. Some of his favorite games include Tetris Attack, Pokémon Black Version 2, The World Ends With You, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, Yo-kai Watch, Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Kirby's Dreamland 3, Mega Man X, and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (among many others).
