Catch a Winner in July
Today marks news I’ve been eagerly awaiting for a while now. Fans of monster taming adventures can rejoice, since Coromon is finally arriving on the Nintendo Switch on July 21st! And while it’s true the game came out a while ago for PC and Mac, I personally believe this style of game is best suited to a portable. Even one as massive as the Nintendo Switch.
For those that haven’t heard of Coromon, it’s a monster taming adventure by TRAGsoft and Freedom Games. While stylistically it’s more GBA than we’re accustomed to, it has Pokémon in its DNA. It even streamlines and improves many features that fans of that series have been complaining about for a while. They have multiple difficulty modes and a built-in Nuzlocke component, which is all kinds of awesome.
Here’s what the developers had to say about the game:
“Coromon is our love letter to a treasured game genre and we cherish this opportunity to finally bring it to Nintendo Switch,” said Jochem Pouwels, Founder, TRAGsoft. “After the overwhelmingly positive response to Coromon’s PC launch, and with how patient everyone has been, we want to thank our community for being so supportive and encouraging. We expect everyone’s creature catching journeys on the go will meet all expectations they have had for us!”
