A Classic Returns
It was a big surprise when Square Enix revealed in March that the Valkyrie series was returning with a brand new installment, Valkyrie Elysium. Now we know when it will release for both PlayStation consoles and PC.
Valkyrie Elysium will hit PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on September 29th. Players who purchase the game digitally will get both versions and those who buy the PS4 physical version can put them in a PS5 that reads discs to download the PS5 version.
PlayStation fans who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition, priced at $74.99, will also get a copy of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. This is the PSP remake of the series’ first title from the original PlayStation. Lenneth has its own page on the PlayStation store, suggesting it will hopefully be available to purchase on its own as well. This looks to be releasing as part of Sony’s classic games initiative which allows for PS1 and PSP games to be rereleased on PS4 and PS5, which likely explains why this bonus isn’t included for those who purchase the game on PC.
Speaking of the PC release, that will hit a bit later but will still be this year. Valkyrie Elysium is set to hit PC on November 11th. Check out the latest trailer below.
