The Matrix Awakens Set To Be Delisted July 9th

Get It While You Can

The Matrix Awakens

While not a full game, The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience drew a lot of attention when it released last December. Featuring characters from the Matrix films, it both provided a great bonus for Matrix fans while also showing off just what the power of Unreal Engine 5 can do for an open world game. It’s a cool bite sized experience for sure.

That experience isn’t going to be around for much longer. Epic Games have announced that the experience will be delisted from both Xbox and PlayStation systems on July 9th. The good news is that if you download it before then, it will remain in your library, available to be downloaded again in the future even if you delete it from your system. That means players who have any interest in The Matrix Awakens, even if they don’t intend to play it soon, should definitely grab it now. It’s a free download so there’s little to hold you back.

Andrew has been writing about video games for nearly twenty years, contributing to publications such as DarkStation, Games Are Fun, and the E-mpire Ltd. network. He enjoys most genres but is always pulled back to classic RPG's, with his favorite games ever including Suikoden II, Panzer Dragoon Saga, and Phantasy Star IV. Don't worry though, he thinks new games are cool too, with more recent favorites like Hades, Rocket League, and Splatoon 2 stealing hundreds of hours of his life. When he isn't playing games he's often watching classic movies, catching a basketball game, or reading the first twenty pages of a book before getting busy and forgetting about it.
