God Of War Ragnarök Goes To War November 9th

It’s The End Of The World As We Know It

God of War

PlayStation fans have waited all years for news on God of War Ragnarök. With so many of the hyped of games of 2022 being pushed to 2023, there was worry that the quiet surrounding the latest game in the God of War series meant that it too would be pushed back. So far though, that’s not the case. Sony announced this morning that God of War Ragnarök is set to release on both PS4 and PS5 November 9th.

This news comes with a new trailer, though notably a cinematic only one. Still, it highlights some of the dangers Kratos and his son Atreus are set to face, including seemingly the wolf Fenrir. That’s definitely something to get excited about.

Preorders for Ragnarök are set to begin July 15th. Like most Sony titles there will be all kinds of special editions, including a special Jotnar Edition which includes a replica of Mjolnir, the soundtrack on vinyl, and much more. Make sure to check out the various options over on the PlayStation Blog.

We’ll have more on God of War Ragnarök as it becomes available. You can check out the latest trailer below.

Andrew has been writing about video games for nearly twenty years, contributing to publications such as DarkStation, Games Are Fun, and the E-mpire Ltd. network. He enjoys most genres but is always pulled back to classic RPG's, with his favorite games ever including Suikoden II, Panzer Dragoon Saga, and Phantasy Star IV. Don't worry though, he thinks new games are cool too, with more recent favorites like Hades, Rocket League, and Splatoon 2 stealing hundreds of hours of his life. When he isn't playing games he's often watching classic movies, catching a basketball game, or reading the first twenty pages of a book before getting busy and forgetting about it.
