Live A Live Demo Gets You Ready For Its Release Next Month

An HD 2D Retro Revival

Live A Live

Players who checked out fan translations have known about Live A Live for a very long time, but this SNES RPG has still been unknown to the wider video game community. Nintendo and Square Enix are looking to change that next month when the new HD 2D Live A Live remake hits the Nintendo Switch.

If you’ve been looking to check this one out, you don’t have to wait any longer. A demo is available today featuring the start of three of the game’s chapters, Imperial China, Twilight of Edo Japan, and The Distant Future. Progress in the demo will transfer to the full game so don’t feel like you’ll be wasting your time checking it out now.

Nintendo put up a Treehouse video this morning featuring 40 minutes of Live A Live gameplay so it seems like they’re pushing this one. I can’t wait to check it out myself. We won’t have to wait long as it is set to release July 22nd.

Andrew has been writing about video games for nearly twenty years, contributing to publications such as DarkStation, Games Are Fun, and the E-mpire Ltd. network. He enjoys most genres but is always pulled back to classic RPG's, with his favorite games ever including Suikoden II, Panzer Dragoon Saga, and Phantasy Star IV. Don't worry though, he thinks new games are cool too, with more recent favorites like Hades, Rocket League, and Splatoon 2 stealing hundreds of hours of his life. When he isn't playing games he's often watching classic movies, catching a basketball game, or reading the first twenty pages of a book before getting busy and forgetting about it.
