Lightyear Frontier Brings Farm-Fresh Mech-Based Gathering and Exploration to Xbox in 2023

Gather ‘Round, Ya’ll, for the Freshest Farm Fun This Side of an Alien Planet!

Do you enjoy the calming hobby of harvesting crops but feel like Farming Simulator’s just a bit too cut and dry for you? Do you long to explore and take on new, unfamiliar lands while bragging to your buddies about how well your strawberries are coming along? Do you just like mechs?

Then mosey on down to check out the world premiere trailer for Lightyear Frontier, where, after a slightly bumpy landing on an alien planet, you’re given the keys to your mech and farm, tasked to get your crops going, your farm expanded, and to check out the absolutely bizarre purple alien ruins that may or may not be housing ancient alien secrets. That all said, the developers, FRAME BREAK, state themselves on the Steam Page that this is a low-stress adventure, with no hunger meters, no thirst, and no combat. So it’s safe to say this is kinda like Slime Rancher meets Stardew Valley. It’s looking like there’ll even be four-player co-op with it. For those wondering, Lightyear Frontier is looking like it’s going to be released on Steam and Xbox.

While we’re still short on details and don’t even have a release date, you can check out the trailer below and see for yourself if you’re up for some Stardew-in-space fun!
