Awaken in a Fleshy Nightmare Necropolis
Over the years, I’ve become far more appreciative of the horror genre, and even find stories there that I’m truly captivated by. But even then, I’ve rarely seen a horror game as utterly terrifying as Scorn. The best way I can describe it is as H.R. Giger by way of M.C. Escher. Developed by Ebb Software and slated to be published by Kepler Interactive, it’s a tale of civilization invaded by horrifying fleshy monstrosities. You awaken in some desolate labyrinth full of unspeakable horrors, and must user your wits and courage (not to mention ammunition) to survive each harrowing encounter.
If that sounds like your sort of game, here’s the good news. Scorn is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam and Epic) just in time for Halloween, on October 21st. But those still looking for extra incentive, check this out:
Scorn’s twisted and interconnected environments evoke a sense of dread uninterrupted by direct guidance, upholding a thrilling sense of discovery and encouraging thoughtful progression from players bold enough to brave Scorn’s tense and mysterious journey. Players must harness their intuition – and possibly the darkest parts of their minds – to reach new areas and earn new abilities in their fight to make it out of the bio labyrinth.
If that’s still not enough, you should watch the utterly disturbing Scorn trailer below. Just don’t blame us if you have nightmares afterwards…
