Girls’ Frontline is Back Online After June 7th Maintenance

Time to Take the Kids to the Beach!

Greetings commanders! The maintenance for 6/7 has ended, and Girls’ Frontline is back online with some classic reruns and new T-Dolls, so let’s get right into it!

First and foremost, The Far Side of the Sea summer event rerun will be happening again, with the following treasures available below.

The following T-Dolls will be available as limited drops from certain maps:

  • Stage 1: M82
  • Stage 2: OTs-14
  • Stage 3: HS2000
  • Stage 4: AUG PARA

If this is your first Girls’ Frontline summer vacation, you’ll be taking just that: A vacation! Except, as per the usual, the T-Dolls bring their mischief to the sunny shores, talking about hidden treasure on a “perfectly normal” island getaway. It’s a short little venture, but still worth soaking up the rewards and sun for.

Next up, we have a few new T-Dolls coming in!

First on the list is a 4-Star Assault Rifle called AK74M.

So what makes the AK74M different from her sisters? Not much, actually, the only big difference is the switch from 7.62x39mm rounds to 5.45x39mm rounds. As for the T-Doll? Let’s say the good ol’ M4 team doesn’t quite cut it for you, if you want to, say, switch to using AKs for whichever reason, AK74M kinda does what M4A1 does and provides extensive buff support for some of the other AK units. If you’re running a full team of AK units, hey, go grab yourself some AK74M for the decent buff and support. Otherwise, her stats are a bit negligible in the grand scheme of what you could be using, unless you’re hunting for raifus, in which case, go for it!

Next up is a 4-Star Handgun unit called CZ 100.

Can’t go wrong with a CZ, made by Ceska Zbrojovka in the mid ’90s. Pretty simple handgun, and one of the more affordable ones with its use of synthetic materials. All-in-all, pretty simple, by the books pistol. Unfortunately, that also extends to her T-Doll self. With her stats, I could see off-tank use in night missions, given her buffs and skill, but she doesn’t do anything truly exceptional here that you can’t get from other handguns. That said, in my own personal opinion, CZ 100 is absolutely the cutest of the CZs, and I wouldn’t fault a soul for claiming her as their raifu.

We’ll be seeing the SR-2 Veresk show up as a 5-Star SMG.

The SR-2 is an SMG chambered in 9x21mm Gyurza, and was used by the Russian FSB in the mid-’90s. It eventually got a version with a foregrip called the SR-2M, then another update with Picatinny rails and a sound suppressor called the SR-2MP. Sound familiar? A certain T-Doll named Shrimp happens to have the designation SR-3MP, and that definitely isn’t a coincidence. While I don’t know if she’ll be quite the powerhouse her sister was, she definitely has a good capacity for off-tanking, especially with her little hidden trick of being able to equip AP rounds. Smells like Night Battle AR-SMG fun to me! Or a very violent but attractive raifu. Take your pick.

Lastly, we have the Steyr HS .50, a 5-Star Rifle!

As you might guess, the .50 does indeed mean it uses .50 caliber BMG rounds, and is manufactured by the lovely folks of Steyr Mannlicher. The HS .50 is a single-shot, bolt-action rifle with a five-shot magazine, mimicked in-game by making her go through a 5-second firing cooldown while she “reloads.” This high-power T-Doll has her priority set to hit armored units for 2x damage compounded by a 100% damage increase to them. That said, with that five-second cooldown, simply put, you’re going to want to use her on stuff you want dead and now, like Manticores and Dopplesoldners. Don’t use her on piddly units, the cooldown will slow DPS horribly.

The final thing we’ll look at is the rerun for Garden of Childhood Curios! You can see the full list of costumes available below, with K11’s Lil’ Scientist costume being permanently added to the shop.

There’ll also be a login event called Children’s Day Special Login, where you can log in for seven days and get Honey Badger’s MkQ Light Exoskeleton costume.

That’s all for this little update, but stay tuned for more of the latest Girls’ Frontline news and guides!
