Racing Into June
Well folks, June is here, and the Nintendo Download for 6/2/22 is packed with good stuff. Not only does this week feature multiple featured titles, but there’s also a special franchise sale on top of the usual Game Guide savings, plus the typical digital games. So let’s start with a classic game coming to the Nintendo Switch.
The Force Returns
It’s pretty well established that while I enjoy Star Wars, I’m far from a fanboy. So I’ve only ever played one or two video games from the series games back in the SNES era. But even I have to admit that Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords looks pretty cool. And in a few short days, it will be on the Nintendo Switch! But that’s not the only featured title this week. We also have chomp chomp madness in the Pac-Man Museum+. Or you can be a crook in Card Shark. If you prefer being artistic and getting caught up in memories, try Behind the Frame: The Finest Scenery. Lastly, if you’re interested in the upcoming Mario Strikers game, you can try it free starting soon with Mario Strikers: Battle League First Kick. That will be available from this coming Friday until Sunday. Now, let’s continue the Nintendo Download with a sale from one of my favorite franchises!
Turn Back the Clock
Even as someone that’s been a Shantae fan for a while now, it’s hard for me to believe the series has been around for 20 years. In honor of that milestone, Shantae is having a 20th anniversary sale from today until 6/16. So if you haven’t gotten into the series yet, now you can get up to 50% off these great titles. Those include the original Shantae, Risky’s Revenge, Pirate’s Curse and Seven Sirens. But a quick word to the wise. If you pick up Half-Genie Hero, get the Ultimate Edition. Only because the DLC in that particular adventure was far more enjoyable than just the base experience alone.
Rock Out With Savings
Ready for some Game Guide savings? Here goes. If you want to blast away baddies, you can do so for cheap with HellGunner for $3.99. For waifu fun, try Mokoko X for $8.99. Or for steep savings on a robotic adventure, try Ultreia for a mere $1.99. For hardcore platforming, try El Gancho for $4.89. And for a cute but simple snowboarding adventure, try Horatio Goes Snowboarding for $4.89.
Wakka Wakka Time
Now for some more savings. If you enjoy challenging platformers, try Will You Snail? for $10.49. Or you can get old school with Clockwork Aquario for $11.99. Hunt for riches in Treasures of the Aegean for $11.99. If you love killing robot fish, try G-Darius HD for $17.99. Finally, for a charming puzzle game, try Weaving Tides for $14.99.
Pew Pew
Let’s close out this Nintendo Download with some great digital games, shall we? First up, retro fans should check out QUByte Classics: Jim Power: The Lost Dimension by PIKO, Spacewing War and Wonder Boy Collection. If you prefer story first, try these – Buck Bradley 2, Lamplight City, LOOPERS, My Lovely Wife and Repentant. To race through space, try Gravitar: Recharged. Or for cute girls and card games, try Pretty Girls Speed. Platformer fans should check out the following – Clan O’Conall and the Crown of the Stag, EleMetals: Death Metal Death Match!, Souldiers, TEN and TOKOYO: Tower of Perpetuity. And for a zany arcade experience, try Surface Rush.
