New Name, Same Great Tactical Adventure
Back in December of 2021, we covered the English announcement of a game called Vestaria Saga Gaiden: The Sacred Sword of Silvanister. While most aspects of the upcoming game remain unchanged, they have made a small but significant tweak to the title. Now instead of Gaiden, it’s going to be named Vestaria Saga II: The Sacred Sword of Silvanister. Whereas Gaiden often indicates a standalone title untethered to the main story, calling it Vestaria Saga II makes it sound like this is a direct sequel to the original game, Vestaria Saga I: War of the Scions.
As for what’s new to this version of the game from the original Japanese one, here’s a quick list. It’ll have new music, better resolution options, and a whole bunch of bonus rewards for playing the entire game to completion. Also vital is that now you’ll be able to save every turn if you so please, and they even added auto-save functionality.
I’m honestly not sure what prompted the sudden name change, but I think you’ll agree that regardless the game looks pretty promising. Be sure to stay tuned to HPP for more news about the upcoming strategy RPG, including our eventual review of Vestaria Saga II: The Sacred Sword of Silvanister.
