Take Back the Edo Period From the Zombie Hordes!
I think there’s one thing we can all admit by now – we’re suckers for a good zombie experience. Whether it come in the form of a TV series like The Walking Dead, a movie like Zombieland or a game series like Resident Evil, fans are drawn to dark stories about roving bands of revenants. As such, we tend to see a lot of zombie games, but few quite like Ed-0: Zombie Uprising.
Developed by Lancarse Ltd. and published by D3Publisher, Ed-0 is an upcoming rogue-like game set in the Edo period. It’s slated to come to Steam Early Access for $19.99 on April 4th, where it will remain for a few months. It’ll also integrate community feedback to make the game better and more interesting.
Even then, the early build is purported to include at least 10 hours of core gameplay, mixing things up with randomly generated environments every time you play. At first, you’ll have access to one class of warrior, but will eventually be able to pick from 3, including the Samurai, Ninja, and my new favorite, the Sumo.
Like any good rogue-like, Ed-0 will allow you to slowly build up your strength between runs, raising your chances of surviving a bit longer. You’ll be able to pick from hundreds of items and skills to perfect your warrior, and death is just a break between frantic zombie slaying. It certainly sounds fun, and I suspect there’s plenty more features that will be added during the Early Access period.
You can check the game out by watching the gory trailer below. And stay tuned to HPP for more zombie mayhem!
