A Guide to Genshin Impact’s Of Drink A-Dreaming Event

Mixing Drinks and Saving Mora

Tower Defense, Fishing, Firework Creation, Genshin Impact’s been hitting as many little minigames it can get built-in, and now we even have a little bartending action showing up with the latest event, Of Drink A-Dreaming. While, unfortunately, we aren’t to be trusted with alcohol in the Angel’s Share (a wise choice, really), the Traveler will get to take on the role of bartender, serving clean drinks for the tavern-goers. There’s a fun simplicity to the minigame and a good amount of rewards, so let’s get right into the mix.

Bartending 101

The minigame has three stages: Ingredient Selection, Mixing, and Pouring.

As with most drinks, you have a base layer (Coffee, Tea, or Juice) and some flavors you can add in (Milk, Cocoa, Caramel, Lemon, Mint, Fizzy Water). If you need some help remembering what goes in each drink, there’s a button in the lower-left called “Recipes” that will give you a list of recipes, divided into categories. Your ingredients will be anywhere from three to five total ingredients. Also, sometimes a drink request will ask for extra of something (usually denoted by “extra sour” or “extra milk”). Those requests are when you’ll change up the recipe a bit, so when you see the name of the recipe followed up by “extra” something, follow the recipe and tweak it where needed.

Once you have your ingredients selected and ready, you’ll need to mix them. Mixing consists of a short input sequence that’s randomized. Don’t worry if you mess up, it doesn’t make you restart from scratch. You just try again at inputting the directions.

Lastly, there’ll be a vertically moving meter, and three sections it can land at that will designate how big of a drink you’ll make.

The Recipe Book

One of the things you’ll notice if you check out the Recipe Book is that you won’t have all of the recipes known and unlocked. In fact, you’ll only unlock the recipes when you make the drink for the first time. The first segment of this event, called Tavern Tales, will have you serving drinks to some friends you’ve met along your journeys. You’ll get access to some of the recipes from Tavern Tales, but you’ll need to freely experiment to find some of the others. You can talk to Charles and ask to experiment to find these recipes. The recipes you haven’t found yet will give basic, vague descriptions of what’s needed to make the drink, but if you just want to get the namecard and be done with it, the ingredients required will be listed down below.

Fruits of Your Labors

The last part of this event is a challenge run called Bartender’s Challenge. You’ll have assorted clients make requests for various recipes, and you fill them accordingly. Some will request extra ingredients, so keep an eye on those. They also all have timers, but typically the ones that arrive the soonest will be the ones you want to prioritize. There are four stages to the Bartender’s Challenge.

The main rewards featured for this little learning experience are, for the Tavern Tales, 300 Primogems, 200,000 Mora, and the Tavern Shaker: Grumulous Oscillation, a cocktail shaker meant to be used as a Teapot decoration. For finding all of the recipes, you’ll receive the Celebration: Binge Vessel namecard. For the Bartender’s Challenge, for scoring 500 on all four challenges, you’ll get 120 Primogems, 240000 Mora, 6 Hero’s Wit, 24 Mystic Enhancement Ore, 2 Guides to Freedom, 2 Guides to Resistance, 2 Guides to Ballad, 4 Chains of the Dandelion Gladiator, 4 Debris of Decarabian’s City, and 4 Boreal Wolf’s Cracked Tooth.
