Here’s What All Was Revealed at Warframe’s 160th Devstream

9 Years of Warframe and 160 Devstreams Later

Greetings, Tenno. The Devstream for March 11th has come to a close, and we have quite a few things to go over, from the latest Prime unveiling to new game types and weapons!

The Local Blood Queen Gets Buffed and Primed

First and foremost here, Garuda Prime is next on the slate to getting a Prime Variant, along with getting the Nagantaka Prime, Kukri Prime Armor Set, and an as-of-yet-unannounced Prime Archgun.

She’s also getting a rework to her passive, so she gets a damage buff based on how many people she kills in a span of time that you’ll be able to keep track of via an icon on the lower right corner of your screen.

Also, we’ll be seeing a new Warframe pop up soon called Gyre, who could only be described as Volt but as a ballerina. It’s strange, but I’m eager to see how she differentiates herself from Volt.

A Not-So-Hostile Takeover of the Zariman

The derelict Orikin ship called The Zariman last visited in The New War is soon to see quite a repopulation. First of all, it’s getting turned into a new social hub called the Chrysalith. There’ll also be an added Syndicate for the Zariman, as well as a new procedural tileset.

Adding to this, if you’ve ever felt like you just don’t have enough customization for your Orbiter, you’ll be happy to know you no longer have to be confined to sleeping on your ship. The Zariman will come with your own apartment you can decorate.

Also, there’s a sole drone taking care of all the plants on the Zariman that’s in desperate need of a name, so hit the forums and drop a suggestion for the little guy.

Void Work and Reworks

A new endless game type will be coming out called Void Flood. Put simply, something called Void Fractures will appear on a map start debuffing you unless you close them with Void Orbs you get from killing enemies or parkouring up to get them.

A really big technical piece here is that the Focus system and Eximus system are both getting reworked. There are a lot of details to see in this, so visit the forum post regarding this to see the full details of what to expect for this rework.

Weapons and Fashion Framing Gets An Evolution

Next, there’ll be a new appearance modifier called Void Shell skins. These skins, which will be released as more skins come out in the future containing this system, allow for texture selections. There’ll be free and purchasable ones.

Remember the Protovyre cosmetic series? If not, they’re an interesting series of cosmetics that evolved over time. Well, now someone in the Zariman can sell you weapons that do the same thing. While details are scarce, there’s a way to re-spec them and unlock new aspects for, and they’ll be coming in dagger, pistol, shotgun, rifle, and tonfa types.

There’s also going to be a two-handed scythe coming into play, along with a new set of stance animations for it.

Final Notes

We’re winding down to the last bits now. First of these final bits is that the Kubrows will be getting a rework to their hair physics.

Nightwave will be getting updated with a new sequence of rewards and acts, along with bringing back some of the old in the upcoming Nora’s Mix Vol. 1. You can see more details on the forum post here.

Last but not least, we’ll be seeing the ninth anniversary of Warframe start up on the 28th of March.

Not only will we be seeing all of the old Dex content, but there’ll be an entire skin for Wips available that will be available via an Anniversary campaign.

That’s all for this Devstream, but you can view the full video capture below.
