Physical Edition Pre-orders Of 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim Will Include Art Cards, New Trailer Showcases A World In Calamity
With the game’s release less than two months away, physical and digital pre-orders have opened up for the Switch port of Atlus and Vanillaware’s latest epic 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Both versions retail for $59.99. However, those who pre-order the game’s physical edition will receive a pack of art cards featuring the game’s cast of characters.
To celebrate today’s pre-order announcement, the game’s publisher Atlus West has released a new “Calamities” gameplay trailer, offering players a closer look at what to expect when it arrives on the Switch this spring.
You can out the latest trailer for the game below:
First released for the PlayStation 4 in 2019 in Japan and localized for western audiences the following year, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is the latest adventure from the team behind Odin Sphere and Dragon’s Crown. It features a mix of 2D side-scrolling exploration and tactical, mech-based combat as players attempt to protect humanity from fearsome kaiju. Given the tremendous praise the game received alongside its initial release—it currently enjoys a metascore of 85 on Metacritic based on 69 reviews—it’s great to see 13 Sentinels find a wider audience so that more RPG fans can experience this modern classic.
If you’re eager to see what the game is all about, you won’t have to wait much longer to find out. 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim will release on the Nintendo Switch on April 12, 2022.
So, are you looking forward to hopping into the cockpit and kicking some kaiju butt when the game arrives on Nintendo’s hybrid console? If so, will you be pre-ordering the physical version to get your mitts on those shiny art cards, or is the digital edition just fine for you? As always, we love to hear what you think.
