Nintendo Download for 2/10/22

Another Dreamy Nintendo Download

Nintendo Download | Chrono Cross Radical Dreamers

It’s always crazy the day after a Nintendo Direct, and today is no different. The Nintendo Download for 2/10/22 is heavily influenced by the reveals from yesterday, and has a lot more to offer than usual. Though there’s only one featured title worth mention, there’s a lot of other stuff, from new updates to demos. First though, we’ll cover a beloved series that’s making the Switch.

More From the Haus of Maus

Nintendo Download | KH INTEGRUM

Regardless of where I stand on it, Kingdom Hearts is a series that many gamers adore. So it’s exciting that they’re bringing a collection of adventures from Kingdom Hearts to Switch in KINGDOM HEARTS INTEGRUM MASTERPIECE for Cloud. It includes KH HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, KH 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and KH III + Re Mind. Which all sounds great. My only complaint is that it’s a cloud game, meaning that without an internet connection, you can’t play any of these titles. But if Square Enix decides to shell out some cash and print a physical version of the game, that’d be another thing entirely. If own Nintendo Switch Online, you can revel in nostalgia with the addition of EarthBound and EarthBound Beginnings. Yesterday I mistakenly thought the Direct said those titles were only available for the Expansion Pack, so I’m very happy to be proven wrong.

Some of the other reveals were some really iconic games getting remade for the Nintendo Switch. If you’re a fan of knights in space, you might want to pre-order Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Or if you like contentious sequels, you can pre-order Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamer’s Edition.

Matters of Mortality

Nintendo Download | Noel the Mortal Fate

If you’re a glutton for punishment, Metroid Dread got a really sadistic free update. You can try out the new one-hit-kill Dread mode. Or if you want a helping hand, they also added a Rookie mode. If that wasn’t enough, they’re adding a boss rush update in April. And if you want another try at the fantastic yet awkwardly named Triangle Strategy, you’re in luck. There’s a new demo available in the eShop that lets you try out an early snippet of the game. Not a bad start to the Nintendo Download, but let’s continue with some sales!

Here’s what the Game Guide has to offer for the Nintendo Download. If you want a cute looking puzzle game, try Lynn, the Girl Drawn on Puzzles for $7.19. Or head into space with Spectacular Sparky for $9.99. Or for a monster catching adventure, you can try Nexomon for $7.99. To swing through retro space, try Cyber Hook for $5.24. And for a challenging Metroidvania, try Cathedral for $8.99.

Sweet As Honey

Nintendo Download | Blackberry Honey

Let’s try some spicier sales now. To save the day from pesky heroes, try Skul: The Hero Slayer for $13.99. Or to delve into ancient ruins, try Ruin Raiders for $12.99. Fight against a dangerous cult in Critadel for $14.99. Or you can get tactical in Dice Legacy for $11.99. Finally, fight the future with the soul of the past in Cyber Shadow for $13.99. Now let’s close out the Nintendo Download with some digital fare.

Dark and Brooding

Nintendo Download | Skautfold

I always like covering retro, and this week we have an embarrassment of riches. The retro inclined should check these out – Breakout Recharged, Infernax, NAPE RETROVERSE COLLECTION, PowerSlave Exhumed and Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection. If you crave story above everything, try these titles – Blackberry Honey, Inua – A Story in Ice and Time, Monster Prom 2: Monster Camp XXL, Pendula Swing – The Complete Journey, Skautfold: Shrouded in Sanity and Welcome to Elk. If you’re a platform fan, check out Ceilless, Derpy Conga, Grapple Dog, ParaLily and Zorya: The Celestial Sisters. For a little horror, there’s Death Park. Or to mow down hordes of foes, try Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires. Rogue fans might enjoy Castle Morihisa. Fans of the supernatural can check out Noel the Mortal Fate. And RPG fans have plenty to enjoy – EGGLIA Rebirth, Ocean’s Heart, Rise of the Third Power and Sword of Elpisia.

Another great Nintendo Download. Thanks for tuning into HPP for your weekly dose of Nintendo fun. And now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to take a little nap.
