Darkness in Enkanomiya and Surprising Details for The Chasm Revealed in the 2.5 Livestream
Greetings, Travelers. Today we’re looking into all the reveals for Genshin Impact’s 2.5 Livestream! There’s a good amount of stuff to cover, so let’s hop right in!
First of all, here’s the Primogem codes from the Livestream:
The first thing shown was the 2.5 preview video for 2.5 that focuses on a vast darkness corrupting Enkanomiya, entailing a list of strange new creatures, a fight with Raiden Shogun in a brand new form, and the long-awaited arrival of the now-playable Yae Miko.
Next, we can take a look at the banners to be expected, with Yae Miko fronting 2.5, followed by reruns of Raiden Shogun and Sangonomiya Kokomi.
With Yae Miko on the horizon, it’s only expected to see a new weapon pop up just for her. There are no details on it yet, but we have an image of the 5-Star Catalyst, Kagura’s Verity.
Such a large emphasis on Raiden Shogun and Yae Miko brings to us no surprise that we’ll be seeing more story quests coming up for the two.
Moving on to the main event here, we have a little hint as to what to expect from the rewards for conquering the darkness enveloping Enkanomiya, with one such reward being a unique 4-Star Catalyst called the Oathsworn Eye that almost looks like it’s meant for Kokomi’s hands.
A lot of things are going on for this event, the biggest being a new event area of Enkanomiya that’s absolutely caked in that inky darkness. To help with getting around in there, you’ll have something called the Bokuso Box. This trinket is pivotal to exploration, and can help negate the darkness’ effects on you, and even be upgraded to provide buffs and perks. In an interesting twist, the Bokuso Box has a timed duration that depletes over time and will need recharging. Seeing that the box is pivotal to survival and even required at some points to kill mobs, it’s good to note where to recharge it.
Moving on, we have some more events slated for 2.5, the first being Divine Ingenuity, where, not only has a strange domain popped up near Liyue, but this event will culminate with players designing their own Domains. Sadly, you won’t be able to put in mobs, but there will be a list of traps and mechanisms.
Next is Of Drink A-Dreaming, where you get to be the bartender at the Angel’s Share, using a variety of ingredients to make drinks for patrons. You’ll be putting in ingredients as needed, then following a specific set of instructions as part of the minigame. Some experimentation is encouraged, as finding new recipes can come from finding the right ingredients and mixing them accordingly. No alcoholic drinks this time around, unfortunately, so here’s hoping our next bartending event is with Diona.
After that is the rerun of Hyakunin Ikki, a tag-team combat arena where you’ll be playing with six sets of two characters that you can swap in and out mid-combat while taking on waves of enemies, there’ll be a list of buffs you can set up pre-battle, and you can expect a wider collection of characters since this event’s first release.
That’s all for 2.5, but that’s not all we got to see in the livestream. Mihoyo finally reveals a few images of what to expect out of The Chasm, a region so heavily locked down that even the leakers have been struggling to dig up dirt on it. All the details are in the images below.
If you want to watch the livestream in its fullest, you can view it here.
Exciting times ahead as we get our long-awaited wishes granted with both Yae Miko and the details for The Chasm. Anything you are particularly excited about? Sound off in the comments below! As always, stay tuned for more of the latest Genshin Impact news and guides.
