Only YOU Can Prevent Blazing Fires!
Those that enjoy rogue games with eye-catching retro art should get ready for Firegirl: Hack ‘n Splash Rescue. It’s slated to release on PC in just about a week, on December 14th. And while the console releases have unfortunately been pushed back until 2022, there’s still a lot to look forward to. Today Thunderful and Dejima Games have shared a new PC launch trailer. It shows off new locations, details and hints at a mystery integral to the core of the story.
For those unfamiliar with the upcoming game, you can either check out HPP’s earlier preview, or read the following:
Firegirl: Hack ‘n Splash Rescue is a roguelite platformer where you take on the role of a young fire rescue officer breathing new life into her rundown local fire station. Armed with your trusty axe and high-pressure fire hose that also doubles as a jetpack, respond to emergency calls that bring you to dangerous procedurally generated blazes across the city. When Firegirl arrives on the scene, she has 3 minutes to save all the civilians caught in the blaze! Extinguish fire monsters to buy more time in these tricky missions where you will feel the heat as you battle to get the job done. Uncover the truth of why these fires have engulfed the city, in a mystery that goes all the way to the top!
I’m certainly excited for Firegirl after previewing it, though I’m personally waiting for the console releases. For those of you that prefer gaming on PC, be sure and watch the trailer below. And if it appeals to you, be sure to check the game out next week on PC!
