Nintendo Download for 11/18/21

Nintendo Download: Pre-Gobble Edition

Nintendo Download | Root

Well boys and girls, it’s nearly Thanksgiving! And while I’m not certain whether there will be a Nintendo Download next week yet, I hope to satisfy your gaming appetite this week with the Nintendo Download for 11/18/21. We have two overhauled Pokémon games, two really surprising titles and an amazing port of an indie adventure. Besides that, we also have plenty of promotions, the usual Game Guide discounts and digital fare. Let’s start by returning to the Sinnoh region.

Catch ’em All

Nintendo Download | Brilliant and Shining

I enjoyed Pokémon Diamond and Pearl back in the day, and I’m sure the Brilliant / Shining remakes will be a good time. Nevertheless, this marks the second time this month I forgot to preorder a big title I was interested in. Which is annoying, but let’s face it, there’s always going to be a good supply of physical Pokémon games to pick up. And for those of you that were smart enough to preorder the game already, you can enjoy it very soon. These next two featured titles are kind of like going to a penguin exhibit and finding a llama in the pen. I’m sure you’re all familiar with League of Legends. But what I was not expecting was some offshoot titles from that popular series. First up is Ruined King. It has amazing art design by none other than comic veteran Joe Madureira, classic turn-based combat and a mix and match teams of heroes. In other words, totally something I would buy, despite being related to LoL. The other offshoot is called Hextech Mayhem. Unlike Ruined King, it’s a fast paced rhythm runner, not unlike Bit.Trip.Runner. You’ll run, jump and bomb to the beat, which sounds pretty fun. The last featured title this week is one you shouldn’t ignore. It’s none other than the fabulous Death’s Door, finally gracing Nintendo Switch with ebony wings. If you’re any sort of fan of classic Zelda games, you absolutely have to check it out. Next up, some promotions from this Nintendo Download.

  • Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! / Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! – While you can revisit the Sinnoh region this week in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, you can also work to become the best Pokémon Trainer in the Kanto region as you battle other Trainers, Gym Leaders and the sinister Team Rocket in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! Explore the vibrant region of Kanto – home to beloved characters like Brock, Misty and the nefarious trio Jessie, James and Meowth. If you haven’t started any adventures in these games yet, now you can find out what all the excitement is about. A free demo available now in Nintendo eShop will let you explore Viridian Forest to catch wild Pokémon and battle Trainers with a randomly selected partner – either Pikachu or Eevee. Both Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! are available for purchase now in Nintendo eShop.
  • Celebrate Four Fantastic Years of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp – Time sure flies when you’re having fun at the campsite! This month, celebrate the Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp game’s fourth anniversary with fun events and much more. Fourth Anniversary Celebration, the latest event in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, is now live. Please check the game for the full event schedule. Plus, be on the lookout for new campers! Load up some extra items and materials on Gulliver’s Ship, then send him to the two new islands that will become available: Ione and Pals’ Island and Shino and Pals’ Island. When the ship returns, you’ll get souvenirs – and the maps needed to unlock each new camper will be among the rewards you can obtain. See you at the campsite!
  • Watch, Discover, Join In – With Twitch, you can watch livestream gaming videos and any IRL broadcast on your Nintendo Switch system. Tune into your favorite gaming creators, athletes, artists and musicians through esports, talk shows, live performances, league channels, tabletop RPGs, the latest video games and much more.
  • Make Your Phone Look Varia Nice! – Three new Metroid Dread wallpapers have been added to the digital rewards section.
