Another Nine Titles Join The Service

Forza Horizon 5

Are you ready to race to the horizon? Then this next batch of Game Pass titles are for you. Microsoft today released their first batch of info on November’s Game Pass lineup, with Forza Horizon 5 being the marquee event. Let’s see what’s coming.

Minecraft: Java and Bedrock Editions (PC) – November 2nd

Unpacking (Cloud, Console, PC) – November 2nd

It Takes Two (Cloud, Console, PC) – November 4th

Kill It With Fire (Cloud, Console, PC) – November 4th (Our Review)

Forza Horizon 5

Football Manager 2022 (PC) – November 9th

Football Manager 2022: Xbox Edition (Cloud, Console, PC) – November 9th

Forza Horizon 5 (Cloud, Console, PC) – November 9th

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition (Console) – November 11th

One Step From Eden (Console, PC) – November 11th

Forza Horizon 5

That’s a huge list of titles, though a new Forza is obviously the biggest name on the list. Fans will soon be exploring the landscapes of Mexico in one of Microsoft’s big holiday releases.

There are a few more day one titles coming in the next little bit. Unpacking seems to be a twist on something like House Flipper, only you’re designing rooms with your character’s own stuff. The Football Manager titles certainly have their fans, and this year there’s an Xbox exclusive version designed to play better for those on a controller. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas’ – The Definitive Edition will meanwhile give Xbox fans access to a classic, no doubt in hopes of tempting them to also grab Vice City and GTA3 which are also seeing new releases.

If you’re looking for popular recent titles, It Takes Two has received a lot of acclaim as a co-op title. Our own Heather Johnson Yu meanwhile really enjoyed Kill It With Fire, saying “Whether you be a casual player or hardcore perfectionist, this game has something for everyone, building upon concepts taught in levels prior until complete mastery of the extermination arts.”

While new titles are always exciting, we’ll have to say goodbye to some as well. Final Fantasy VIII HD should serve as a warning to those putting off Square Enix titles on the service. They won’t last forever. Planet Coaster, Star Renegades (Our Review), Streets of Rogue (Our Review), The Gardens Between, and River City Girls (Our Review) will be joining it in exiting the service November 15th. Like always, you can grab these titles with a 20% discount now but that too will end when the games exit the service. I’ve personally been meaning to get to River City Girls, guess I’d better hurry up.

Andrew Thornton
Andrew has been writing about video games for nearly twenty years, contributing to publications such as DarkStation, Games Are Fun, and the E-mpire Ltd. network. He enjoys most genres but is always pulled back to classic RPG's, with his favorite games ever including Suikoden II, Panzer Dragoon Saga, and Phantasy Star IV. Don't worry though, he thinks new games are cool too, with more recent favorites like Hades, Rocket League, and Splatoon 2 stealing hundreds of hours of his life. When he isn't playing games he's often watching classic movies, catching a basketball game, or reading the first twenty pages of a book before getting busy and forgetting about it.
