Here We Go Again
We’ve seen a lot of delays in recent months, with many titles slipping out of 2021 entirely. Until now though, Nintendo’s slate had largely remained steady. For fans of the Advance Wars series glad to see it return though, you’ll have to wait a little longer. Advance Wars 1 + 2: Re-Boot Camp is moving to spring.
Originally planned for a December 3rd release, Nintendo cited the game needing a little more time for fine tuning as the reason for the delay. While disappointing, the title is still expected in the spring so it shouldn’t be too long before fans are playing it.
A remake of the two titles in the series which released on Game Boy Advance, Re-Boot Camp is being handled by the team at WayForward. While not an original title, it will be the first release in the series in over thirteen years, since the release of Advance Wars: Days of Ruin on the DS back in 2008. The growth in popularity of the Fire Emblem series, particularly in the west, seems to have made the development team at Intelligent Systems focus more on that series. Still, if fans want a truly original Advance Wars title, there’s likely no better way to tell Nintendo than checking out this game. You can see the latest trailer for Re-Boot Camp below.
