Genshin Impact Inazuma Diaries: Tsurumi Island

miHoYo Peels Back the Fog on Tsurumi Island With A New Inazuma Diaries Preview Page

Greetings, Travelers. Today we’ll be looking at The Inazuma Diaries: Tsurumi Island preview page for Genshin Impact, which will go over the strange new mechanics and features of the island.

Those that viewed our livestream details will know that Tsurumi Island is infested with a deep fog. For those around when the Golden Apple Archipelago was around, this should be an all too familiar hazard. Luckily, just like the last occurrence of fog, there are a few tricks to help navigate. There’s two ways, purple Stormstone piles, and white Stormstone piles.

The purple stone piles can be illuminated using Electro to help light some of the way and dispel a bit of the fog. The white Stormstone piles are used for very specific paths and never go out, so you can always rely on them to get back on track.

Next up is the Remarkable Chests, which will contain blueprints and blueprint sets for some Inazuma-themed furniture for the Serenitea Pot.

There’ll also be some Fluorescent Fungus that will likely be used for materials for the new weapons and Thoma that’ll be featured in the upcoming banners. Probably best not to actually eat those.

Another large part of the update will be the introduction to a new enemy type called Rifthounds.

As of right now, there are only two types, Electro and Geo, and they can be Whelps, which are smaller, or big ones. Unfortunately, all of these creatures will be capable of inflicting a new debuff called Corrosion, a debuff that drains the health of the whole party, even to those with shields. The only saving grace to this effect is that non-active characters stop losing health at 15%.

There’s a way to handle these new beasties, though, and that’s by attacking them with their corresponding element, which will lessen their RES to that element at the cost of enraging them.

That’s all for the Inazuma Diaries: Tsurumi Island in this little preview page, but you can read more in the article miHoYo put on their website here. Stay tuned for more of the latest in Genshin Impact news and guides!
