PC Players Join The Hunt With Monster Hunter Rise January 12th

Plus, A New Collaboration

Monster Hunter Rise

PC players have waited patiently since Monster Hunter Rise first released on Nintendo Switch this last March. They won’t have to wait much longer. Monster Hunter Rise is headed to PC on January 12th, 2022.

Those who waited will get perhaps the best version of the game. This version supports uncapped framerates, 4K resolution, ultrawide displays, and all content released for the Switch version by this November.

If you just can’t wait another three months, you can get yourself started a little early too. A demo featuring both offline and offline play will release October 13th. Why not check this one out when you have the chance?

A few other tidbits came out about Rise as well. The recently revealed Sunbreak DLC will hit both platforms next summer so PC players can enjoy that full experience. A new Capcom collaboration will let you earn Arthur’s armor from the Ghosts ‘n Goblins series. There’s still a lot to look forward when it comes to Monster Hunter Rise.

Our own Kenny McKee gave the game a 4.5/5 earlier this year on Nintendo Switch so this is one we absolutely recommend. At the time he said, “Sometimes it’s hard to determine what the best game in a series is. This time, it’s not. Regardless of what charms the Monster Hunter games of the past might have to offer, they’re no match for Rise‘s huge jump in overall quality and polish.” That’s high praise.

He enjoys most genres but is always pulled back to classic RPG's, with his favorite games ever including Suikoden II, Panzer Dragoon Saga, and Phantasy Star IV. Don't worry though, he thinks new games are cool too, with more recent favorites like Hades, Rocket League, and Splatoon 2 stealing hundreds of hours of his life. When he isn't playing games he's often watching classic movies, catching a basketball game, or reading the first twenty pages of a book before getting busy and forgetting about it.
