Set To Arrive In 2022
While it was initially revealed earlier this year, Nintendo lifted the lid on Splatoon 3 during today’s Nintendo Direct. Subtitled Return of the Mammalians, this one looks set to really shake up the world of Splatoon.
Splatoon 3 promises a full single player campaign, and if that group above is anything to go on we’ll see a variety of familiar faces. They’re not the only ones returning. The world of Splatoon saw all mammals outside of two cats having previously vanished. With some returning, it seems likely we’ll find out where they’ve been. The residents of Splatsville want to know!
If you’re not so much into the series’ single player campaigns, don’t worry. This one looks to be a bit more of a departure than Splatoon 2 was. With a wide variety of new weapons, including some cool new robots you can ride around, fans will have a lot to stay excited about. While innovation looks to be a goal here, don’t worry. This is still Splatoon, with teams of four facing off and squirting ink all over the place.
You can check out the latest trailer for Splatoon 3 below. We don’t yet have a release window outside of 2022 but when we do, we’ll make sure to let you know.
