The Nintendo Download is Back, Birbs!

Nintendo Download | SkateBIRD

The weather may be changing, but the Nintendo Download for 9/16/21 is consistently good. There’s several featured titles this week, a My Nintendo promotion, a special sale and more to check out. But let’s start with a game I thought wasn’t coming out for a couple more weeks, courtesy of the folks at Chucklefish.

Keep On Walking

Nintendo Download | Eastward

As someone that grew up with the NES and SNES, I have a bit of history with Earthbound. Even though I never owned the physical game, it affected me dramatically. I still find myself searching for games that are similar, which brings us to Eastward. Published by Chucklefish, it’s a quirky tale about a subterranean society. Featuring lush pixel artwork and a unique premise, it looks to be another classic ARPG. But that’s not all for today. We also have the delightfully absurd SkateBIRD. Perform gnarly tricks as a wee little bird, and enjoy as the game world opens up accordingly. Or if you want to get lost in an expansive RPG, try Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom PRINCE’S EDITION. It adds a huge expansion to the original game. And lastly, for a cute and strange photography adventure, look no further than TOEM. Now here’s a quick promotion from My Nintendo.

  • Let Your Dreams Take Flight – Solve puzzles, explore dungeons and soar the skies in the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD game, available now. Plus, you can now enter for a chance to win a legendary collection of prizes in the Link & Loftwing – The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Sweepstakes! Prizes include a Link on Loftwing statue and an acrylic panel featuring art from the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD game, among other cool keepsakes. My Nintendo members can redeem 10 My Nintendo Platinum Points* to enter, with up to three entries total. Five lucky winners will be picked, so be sure to enter today! You can also redeem a Link and Loftwing wallpaper without using any Platinum Points.
