Girls’ Frontline September 14th Maintenance Update

Girls’ Frontline September 14th Maintenance Update

Greetings, Commanders! Maintenance has finished, and the Girls’ Frontline servers are back up, so let’s go over all the fun new stuff added into the September 14th Maintenance Update.

First and foremost, we’ve got a few new shotguns added to the Heavy Production Pool. You can pull for these characters now, but if you wait until the 18th, you can enjoy some Production Rate-Up for the shotgun pool.

The first is M6 ASW, an interesting shotgun originally designed for plane crash survivors in the military for hunting food (ASW stands for Aircrew Survival Weapon). Its defining trait is that, as emulated in-game, it’s both a shotgun and rifle, with a firing pin that allows the user to select which barrel to fire from. The T-Doll’s ability will discharge the magazine for the shotgun, then switch to rifle mode where she’ll get 100% rate of fire and damage alongside a 200% accuracy. While the gimmick is neat, it’s questionable for a shotgun in this game, as shotguns are primarily used for tanking and not for damage output or accuracy. That said, her tileset is actually pretty good, even if the buffs for said tiles aren’t the best. She’ll be a fun T-Doll to play with. At the very least, I’d love to see her paired with RPK.

Next up is LTLX7000, ironically designed as a non-lethal shotgun that fires rubber pellets in a 12-gauge shell. The real winner here is her active ability that shoves almost everything in front of her back five units. It doesn’t deal damage, but it does strip shields and enemy buffs and gives her a 20% armor stack per enemy affected by her skill, up to 100%. Her tiles are very broad and can be applied to a myriad of combinations, even letting her tank for an AR/SMG echelon. A highly recommended pull from the pool.

For four-star shotguns, we have two, starting with PM5, a shotgun that tries so hard to be something between an SMG and an HG. She wants to have high mobility, but that really doesn’t have much of a place in the SG classes. With her current stats, you’d be better off just saving for SPAS-12. It’s a real shame, as she has a really unique appearance and an absolutely stylish jacket. I can always appreciate a good look, so she will definitely stand up as a cute raifu.

Lastly, we have HK512, which doesn’t quite have the stats she needs to pull her weight. Her armor stat is abysmal; even three-stars do better than her. Her ability to buff other shotguns isn’t very useful as you’ll rarely see two shotguns in an echelon anyways. If you like her rugged appearance, by all means, roll for the raifu, but perhaps keep her off the field.

For the next addition to the update, we’re getting a new set of side stories titled under Symphony No.4 that are viewable at the cafe. These side stories are tailored to characters with costumes from the Soiree Sonata costume pool, so if you’ve rolled any of those costumes, you’re in for a treat.

Starting September 21st, we’ll be seeing new a new Sangvis Capture Segment titled SP5NANO, bringing in Destroyer to the three-star Sangvis Units. There’ll be the exchange items for this segment added into the Kernal Store as well.

We’ll also be seeing 416 and UMP9’s MOD 3 skins getting a Live2D treatment, which you can watch the trailer for below.

There’ll be unrestricted access to EXP Training, Enhancement Exercise, and Data Sampling until the 27th of September. All Coalition Drills will also have triple yield during this same time frame.

Until the 20th of September, there’ll be an increase in Combat EXP to 150%.

The packages this time around are as follows:

  • Coalition Units Supply Package: Aid Commission x10 and Basic Training Keycode x1000 (Cost: 1120 Gems)
  • Coalition Units Cultivation Package: Rapid Growth Disks x1000, Petri Dish x150, and Advanced Training Keycode x500 (Cost: 248)
  • Half Price Manpower Package, Half Price Ammo Package, Half Price Ration Package, Half Price Parts Package, and Half Price Contracts Package (available until September 19th)

That’s all for this update, but stay tuned for more guides and updates on Girls’ Frontlines.
