Write Your Way Out Of This Horror
Alan Wake launched on Xbox 360 all the way back in 2010. While it drew acclaim at the time, it didn’t sell to expectations. After a few pieces of DLC and a side game didn’t catch fire either, it seemed the team at Remedy were moving on, content to include references to the game in their newer titles like Control.
Not so fast. While it isn’t a brand new game, Remedy are unearthing this horrifying adventure once more. Alan Wake Remastered will launch this fall on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. While PC fans eventually saw the original game, this will be the first chance for PlayStation players to check it out.
Sam Lake, Creative Director at Remedy, actually revealed the remaster through a fan site. He said, “This is for you. Alan Wake came out over 11 years ago, and through that time, you have told us again and again how much you love the game, the story, the characters, and the lore. And that matters a lot to us. We love this game as well. I love this game. The remaster is coming because of your support for Alan Wake through the years.”
You can check out the full letter at The Sudden Stop. Other details are still thin but we’ll have more information about this exciting remaster when it becomes available.
