Latinx-Futurism Arrives Q1 2022 With Aztech Forgotten Gods
I’ve been waiting for today’s news for some time now. Indie developer Lienzo have finally provided a release window for their latest game, Aztech Forgotten Gods. It’s slated to release on Steam and consoles in Q1 of 2022. Those consoles include Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series X|S. Better yet, Aztech Forgotten Gods is getting a playable demo during the Steam Next Fest. That’ll occur from October 1 – 7th.
This ‘what if’ adventure imagines a world colonized by the Aztech empire. Explore the colossal technological marvel of Tenochtitlan and unearth hidden secrets. You’ll play as young Achtli, and help her master the Lightkeeper. It’s a powerful prosthetic weapon infused with an uncanny intelligence. Thus armed, she’ll face off against the dangerous forgotten Gods of her culture.
As for what’s going to be part of the playable demo, just read the following details:
Aztech’s first playable demo highlights a showdown against Coatlicue, the All-Mother Goddess, and a slice of Tenochtitlan for players to explore. Get a taste of Aztech’s story-driven plot, immerse yourself into a city ripe for exploration, and face off against gargantuan goliaths in this adrenaline-filled slice of the game.
I personally think the game looks intriguing, and if it’s anything like Mulaka, it’ll be a title worth owning. Be sure to check it out next year and make sure you watch the trailer below. And stay tuned to HPP for more news from Lienzo!
