Delve Into Tactical Glory in Arcadian Atlas
I’ve really got to hand it to Gamescom. They took an otherwise stale news week and have peppered it full of juicy gaming nuggets. The latest comes courtesy of publisher Serenity Forge. They showcased a narrative trailer for upcoming isometric tactical RPG Arcadian Atlas.
Crowdfunded and developed by Twin Otter Studios, it’s a game undeniably inspired by greats like Final Fantasy Tactics. Regardless, Arcadian Atlas very much stands on its own shoulders.
The plot of the game revolves around political intrigue, familial discord and all sorts of clandestine schemes. The game also features gorgeous pixel artwork and style to spare. But if you still want to know more about how it works, just read this info:
If the player hopes to save Arcadia, they’ll need to build an elite party of adventurers from more than 12 custom classes, each with their own unique skills and equipment. Strategic, turn-based battles will determine the fate of both the kingdom of Arcadia and its people. Every single action counts; just one wrong move could tear it apart for good.
I admit I’ve personally been following Arcadian Atlas for a while, since I also helped back it. Fans of tactical RPGs have a lot to look forward to when the game launches on PC, Mac and Linux sometime in 2022. Be sure to watch the Gamescom trailer below. And stay tuned to HPP for more news about promising tactical RPGs.
