Experience This Journey
If you haven’t played Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice yet, now you have even less excuse. The highly acclaimed action-adventure title has been optimized for Xbox Series X|S with new graphic modes, improved visuals, and more.
Originally released in 2017, Hellblade saw release on a wide variety of platforms. The series found a home on Xbox though after Microsoft purchased the development team, Ninja Theory, in 2018. This means the game’s upcoming sequel looks to be an Xbox Series X|S and PC only title.
While this may not be the best news for fans on other platforms, it’s great for Xbox owners. This update is free for those who own the game on Xbox platforms and is available via Xbox Game Pass. It provides three new graphical modes, including a performance mode where the game will run best, a graphics mode pushing things as far as they can go, and an enriched mode featuring raytracing.
When Hellblade first released in 2017, we were big fans. It scored a 4.5/5 from us and made our top 10 games of the year. Now you can move through its dark world even easier with a new chapter select option as well.
To those who have waited this long to check out Senua’s journey, now is a great time to end that wait. You can check out a trailer for the optimized version of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice below.
