There are some big names here and something for everyone. Hades leads the way for new releases as it finally hits consoles, with a day one Game Pass release. Joining it on their first day are Dodgeball Academia and Starmancer. Plenty of new titles for most any player.

If you’re looking for something a little more brain bending, a variety of puzzle games are also coming. Lumines Remastered and Katamari Damacy Reroll bring more recent updates to classic puzzle titles to Game Pass. Or, if you’re on PC, you can check out a collection of solitaire titles. Didn’t see that one coming.

Racing fans will also have plenty to enjoy with Art of Rally coming. Or if you’re into something a little more serious looking, a huge chunk of the Codemasters library will be available to play on your console August 10th via EA Play. EA Play is even finally adding another Skate game with the original coming to consoles. Skate 3, already on the service, will add cloud support as well so you can play in more places.

With so many titles coming though, a few have to go, including some favorites. Here’s what’s saying goodbye soon:

Grand Theft Auto V (Cloud, Console) – August 8th

Ape Out (PC) – August 15th

Crossing Souls (PC) – August 15th (Our Review)

Darksiders Genesis (Cloud, Console, PC) – August 15th (Our Review)

Don’t Starve (Cloud, Console, PC) – August 15th

Final Fantasy VII (Console, PC) – August 15th

Train Sim World 2020 (Cloud, Console, PC) – August 15th

If any of those were high on your list to check out, you know what to prioritize over the next couple of weeks.

What do you think of this batch of August Game Pass titles? Anything you can’t wait to check out? You can view a trailer for the console release of Hades below.

Andrew has been writing about video games for nearly twenty years, contributing to publications such as DarkStation, Games Are Fun, and the E-mpire Ltd. network. He enjoys most genres but is always pulled back to classic RPG's, with his favorite games ever including Suikoden II, Panzer Dragoon Saga, and Phantasy Star IV. Don't worry though, he thinks new games are cool too, with more recent favorites like Hades, Rocket League, and Splatoon 2 stealing hundreds of hours of his life. When he isn't playing games he's often watching classic movies, catching a basketball game, or reading the first twenty pages of a book before getting busy and forgetting about it.
