Genshin Impact Thunder Sojourn Event Guide
Greetings, Travelers. Welcome to a guide for the Thunder Sojourn event! This one’s got four stages to it, and with the fourth one finally released, let’s get right into the details for the whole event!
First of all, you’ll need to go talk to a lower deck dweller of the Alcor chilling out on a sandbar over in Ritou. After she gets you up to speed on the details of this, you’ll get to try out your first challenge of the event.
The first set of challenges, Bolt Blitz, is similar to the race commissions you can get in the overworld. You’ll be using Electrograna to zip from Electro Sphere to Electro Sphere, gathering Electro particles to increase the time left on the timer.
Sometimes you’ll see the golden marker, which is where you’d touch down for a second to grab another Electrograna, then get back to the skies. Defeating enemies spawned along the way will also give more time. This part of the event will have six challenges spread across the islands.
The second part of the event is focused on fighting enemies, all while using Lightning Crystals you can charge up for a good amount of AOE shock damage.
There are two ways to charge these things. One is by standing near it while holding an Electrograna (or being affected by Electro). The second is by hitting it with Electro attacks. Once it maxes out its meter and discharges, just be sure to have an Electrograna, or you too will be thunderstruck.
The third part of the event, Weaving Lightning, is another battle-focused one, but this time, you get three crystals called Nimbus Gems that, while you have an Electrograna (or are currently shocked by Electro), you’ll see Electro tethers bind to your character, giving you buffs.
The mini-quests associated with this part of the quest are focused on you having all three of these on your person, so stay shocked and loaded for rewards and buffs.
Lastly, you’ll be having a few rounds with the Perpetual Mechanical Array in a special arena fight that will have the buff crystals and the Lightning Crystal to help out killing this thing. If you’ve already faced off against the killer cube, this will be nothing new, and will actually be even easier to conquer. For those that haven’t, it’ll be a great opportunity to face the machine and get used to its fighting style. This is also the only challenge you can get the Lightning Gems from, and you’ll need those for the other set of rewards from the Rewards Shop, one of which being inviting Beidou to your team if you don’t have her yet (you’ll get a part of her constellation if you do).
That’s all there is to this guide for the Thunder Sojourn event. Let us know what you think about the event in the comments below. This is Traveler Cory from HPP, signing off!
