Still Coming Relatively Soon
When I said a couple of weeks ago that more delays for anticipated titles were likely on the way, I wasn’t kidding. The last year has brought on unprecedented challenges due to the pandemic and it isn’t over. Kena: Bridge of Spirits is the latest title to feel the hit. It’s been delayed to September 21st.
While only a few week delay from a prior August 28th release date, it’s always a shame to see an anticipated game pushed back. Still, it’s easy to understand why a development team would want their game to have some additional polish. That’s actually the exact reason the team at Ember Lab gave for the change.
Originally set to release last year around the launch of the PS5, Kena drew a lot of attention when it was shown off during the PS5 reveal. With a graphical style looking like a Miyazaki film and gameplay looking a lot like Zelda, I know I’m looking forward to playing it.
When Kena does release, you’ll have to help her find a sacred mountain shrine in an abandoned village. The young spirit guide will build a team of adorable rot creatures while fighting off a wide variety of enemies.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits is coming to PS4 and PS5 as well as PC as an Epic Games Store exclusive. We’ll have more on it when there’s more to report. Check out a recent trailer for the game below.
