Death’s Gambit: Afterlife Making Many Improvements

The Afterlife Is Calling

Death's Gambit: Afterlife | Keyart

Though I didn’t review the original Death’s Gambit (you can read our review here), it looked like a stunning adventure once Afterlife was announced. Unfortunately, the original was apparently held back by several poor design choices. But the good news is, it looks like Afterlife fixes many of those issues. Today publisher Serenity Forge and developer White Rabbit shared an expansive new trailer. It showcases the many improvements made to the game, and it runs for about 6 minutes. It features commentary explaining the changes and why they were made.

You can watch the Death’s Gambit: Afterlife trailer at the end. But if you need a refresher course on the Metroidvania, keep reading:

Death’s Gambit is a 2D action Metroidvania with slick combat that requires precision from its players to master its expansive options. Death’s Gambit: Afterlife adds 10 new levels, 22 new weapons, 100 talents, skills, storylines, cinematics, gameplay enhancements, and much more to make it the most definitive edition of the game to date.

I really hope Afterlife lives up to its potential. Cause going by atmosphere alone, it looks really promising, and it’s slated to release later this year. Be sure to check out the trailer below. And stay tuned to HPP for more news about cool looking Metroidvania adventures.
