Arcade1up’s X-Men 4 Player Arcade Machine is now available to pre-order, ships in mid-October.
Set to ship in mid-October, the cabinet retails for $699. It includes Konami’s iconic 1992 X-Men beat-’em-up and Data East’s 4-player brawler Captain America and The Avengers, and the 1995 one-on-one fighter Avengers in Galactic Storm. Like the company’s previously announced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time, Street Fighter II Big Blue, and The Simpsons home arcade cabinets, the X-Men machine features wi-fi support, a lit marquee and deck protector, and a matching riser.

No doubt about it, this cabinet isn’t cheap. It’s easy to imagine all but the most die-hard collectors balking at the hefty price tag, especially given the machine’s admittedly limited library of 3 games. However, considering the marquee title is one of the most beloved titles of the 90s, this old arcade rat considers it a welcome addition to the Arcade1up lineup. Add the fantastic Captain America and The Avengers to the mix, and you have a winning combination as far as I’m concerned.
So, what are your thoughts on the machine? Will you be adding this cabinet to your game room? Additionally, what are some other classic machines you’d like to see the company release next? As for me, I’m still holding out for a proper Daytona USA cabinet with online support. As always, we love to hear what you think. So, be sure to let us know in the comments below.
