Honkai Impact 3rd Outworld Quest Prop0sal 1 Origin Guide
Greetings Travelers and Captains, and welcome to the Outworld Quest Proposal 1 Origin guide for the Honkai Impact’s Genshin Impact Crossover. While most of the dungeon is self-explanatory, there are a few puzzles and mechanics to get acquainted with. So let’s get started!
First, you’ll need to head to the event page for the Outworld Quest, located right next to the Attack button on the main menu.
Next is to go to the Outworld Quest event itself, which includes 3 chapters (called Proposals here) that each has 3 named subchapters. The first chapter goes over that this is all just a tech demo for a new game, with Otto Apocalypse observing the whole thing. You’ll have a scene come after showing the Rozaliya waking up as the Traveler and Paimon right there to greet her.
The whole deal is a really Neptunia-esque meta exchange between the two. The first thing you’ll notice is that this is all done in an isometric chibi style. It’s point-and-click, and things you can interact with often will have a golden circle around them. More floor tiles show up as you travel along, so sometimes just walking around reveals what you need. NPCs are gonna show up as blue silhouettes. Click on them to talk. Oh, and if you have trouble seeing, click and drag moves the map. If you find yourself at a dead-end, you can also click on the Reset button to put you back to where you started. You can’t move between raised and lowered floors, unfortunately.
While you do all this, you’ll finish missions in the chapters themselves that give Outworld Journals that can be exchanged for stuff. You can access this menu by clicking on the Crystal-looking icon off to the left side. The quests are usually done by just completing the story-based quests, but some of them will cue you in on substories and sidequests.
For the first section, move to the sign and interact with it. It’ll prompt you to talk to NPCs. You’ll come across a guy that’s apparently the new owner of a house that’s flooded every tide, then asks you to get a treasure chest on the other side of the yard. You can swim, but you only have so much stamina to do that with. You can see your stamina in the upper right. It costs one stamina per tile and regenerates to full when you hit land—no penalties for dying or drowning here on the overworld, luckily.
Get the dude’s treasure, a bottle of Dandelion Wine, and he gives you a pickaxe to break the boulder with. Before you move on, though, if you go to where that treasure chest was and head three water spaces north, you can open a Luxurious Chest on the other side.
Next, you’ll need to move forward, but you don’t have enough stamina to swim across, so make your way back to the main area. A new boulder is available to the north, smash it and continue. You’ll be greeted by a Pyro and Cryo slimes, where Paimon will teach you about elemental reactions. Now we’re getting to the more traditional Honkai Impact stuff!
You’ll be prompted for a fight now. This does cost Honkai Stamina, so be aware of that. You’ll be playing as Rozalia, but you can get more companions later that will fight alongside you.
After beating the hell out of the slime, you’ll enter a cutscene where the Cryo one flees, leaving behind impassable snowballs. All you need to do is push one of those (the middlemost one) into the glowing circle, and the rest will vanish.
With that minor puzzle out of the way, you’ll get a chest with Outworld Journals in it. You’ll pick up some berries nearby too, keep those for a later sidequest.
A little further north is a golden waypoint that’ll let you see a little cutscene showing off the Mondstadt Castle. You can either go ahead or explore a bit more for loot. There’s a Luxurious Chest not far off to the right of there, so go to where you got the treasure chest for the NPC. You can swim across from there. You’ll get 100 Journals from that. As for the other one, your stamina won’t let you get to that one. You’ll need to return once you gather another Anemoculus.
From here, you’ll get to a cutscene where Paimon talks about Statues of the Seven before starting the next floor. You’ll find an NPC that wants all of the berries around Mondstadt, 26 to be precise. This is your first real sidequest, and completing it will net you 300 Asterite. Head forward from there to the Statue of the Seven only to find out it’s broken, with Paimon wanting to fix it. Talk to the local NPC bard, and he’ll want an apple you can conveniently obtain from a chest just a few tiles to the left.
He’ll tell you that in order to fix the statue, you’ll need four Elemental Crystals to get it going again. The first one is just to the left, where you can now beat up the slimes that are there to get to a treasure chest. The thing is, once the slimes are done, you’ll notice the treasure chests are traps. You’ll need to make sure your counter is on 1 before opening one. You’ll get them all open just to find that there’s just a bunch of apples. The bard has tricked the player, and there’s only one bard I know cheeky enough to do something like that.
Head to the desert-looking area, and you’ll have a new kind of puzzle to solve. This one I will be putting a solution to, as some people haven’t experienced a puzzle with automatic movement. It’s fairly simple, use objects to stop you from moving too far away from your objective. There are two treasure chests, one with 100 Journals, one with the Elemental Crystal.
The next puzzle is to the bottom left, and you’ll talk to an NPC that is having issues gardening and requires your help. Just don’t retrace steps until all 9 parts are green grass.
The last puzzle is a Fire Totem puzzle, which is fairly easy. Hit them in this order: Bottom Left, Upper Right, Bottom Right, and Upper Left. Finish that, and you’ll be in for some Journals and the Elemental Crystal.
Once you get done with that, you can go repair the Statue of the Seven. Rozaliya has had enough waiting around and wants to do her wishing, which results in her getting a five-star character right off the bad. Too bad Keqing could care less what they want until they bring attention to a so-called monster attack on Mondstadt.
Get done there and you’ll now be headed to another golden waypoint that’ll teleport you to the next level, but before you do that, you’ll want to talk to the NPC if you want to learn a bit more about how Keqing Fights. Once you’re ready for the next floor, you’ll get another scene where Keqing notices a large, strange dragon resting on a rock while Klee(?) is readying a bomb. Disturbed by the two, she drops the explosive. Now your next objective is to save Theresa-Klee (Kleeresa) from the fire.
You’ll need to push some boulders out of the way before getting to a boulder where there’s a pot behind it. Try and push it, and you’ll see a scene where you can’t move it. Move over to the fire, where you’ll be treated to another scene, then prompted to get water from the nearby lake to your right. Except you have nothing to store it in, so head north of the lake, which will loop you back around to that pot I mentioned earlier. Before you get there, there’s a weird red crystal before you can leave. Touch it and see a scene with some Treasure Hoarders you get to beat up. Lay waste to them, and you get a nice jug to carry water with. Get back to the lake, and if you haven’t grabbed the chest just south of the lake, do so now.
A little scene will show you getting Kleeresa in your party. A couple of things before you peel out, you can check out three Ruin Hunter heads scattered around. They’re pretty easy to spot, looking like little piles of rubble with red spots sticking out. Interact with all three, and a scene will play showing an altar that comes up.
Interact with it for a fight. You’ll have Kleeresa, Keqing, and Rozariya for this, and just as a warning, these guys are a wee bit tanky. You’ll get half of the health of the main boss down, and it’ll summon two Flame Catapults out to make things even more difficult. Persevere, and claim your rewards.
Lastly, before peeling outta there, head over to where you got the pot, then follow the path to the southwest for a stump. You can blow up with Klee, leading to a berry. Once you’re finished up there, head on over to the golden waypoint.
