Everybody loves a good discount, especially during events like Steam’s Summer Sale. And while the good times will still be flowing for a bit longer, soon they’re gonna change. Specifically, NIS America has recently announced upcoming changes to some of their PC games. Specifically, starting on July 19th, several of them will be more expensive.

NIS America | The Caligula Effect: Overdose

While NIS America hasn’t given any particular reason for the sudden change, they did list some of the games affected. There’s some pretty distinct price hikes. So if you’re interested in picking up any of the following on PC, be sure to act soon.

NIS America | Cladun Returns

The 25th Ward: The Silver Case – going from $9.99 to $19.99
A Rose in the Twilight – going from $9.99 to $19.99
Birthdays the Beginning – going from $9.99 to $19.99
The Caligula Effect: Overdose – going from $29.99 to $49.99
Cladun Returns: This is Sengoku! – going from $9.99 to $19.99
Cladun X2 – going from $4.99 to $9.99
Criminal Girls: Invite Only – going from $9.99 to $19.99
Disgaea PC – going from $14.99 to $19.99
htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary – going from $4.99 to $9.99
Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk – going from $29.99 to $49.99
The Longest Five Minutes – going from $9.99 to $19.99
Phantom Brave PC – going from $4.99 to $19.99
PSYCHO-PASS: Mandatory Happiness – going from $9.99 to $19.99
Yomawari: Night Alone – going from $9.99 to $19.99
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA – going from $39.99 to $59.99 (Steam)

Keep in mind, these changes in price are not just happening on Steam. They’re also occurring on the Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store and Stadia. I must admit, I’m a little personally frustrated by this decision by NIS America. The primary benefit to digital games is generally getting them at a steeper discount.

NIS America | Labyrinth of Refrain

Here’s hoping this is just a blip, and not a future trend. And stay tuned to HPP for more trending info on game prices.
