They’re Not Being Silent About This One

Bloober Team have announced a partnership with Konami to create new content and share information. President of Bloober Team, Piotr Babieno, had this to say about the agreement.

“It is a historic day for me and the culmination of several years of our work. The fact that such a renowned company as Konami has decided to strategically cooperate with the Bloober Team means that we also joined the world leaders in gaming and became an equal partner for the leading players in this market.”

Hideki Hayakawa, Preisident of Konami Digital Entertainment said:

We have been providing unique entertainment content and ways to enjoy it through the use of information technology. In the digital entertainment industry, significant changes in the business environment are expected in the future. We look forward to combining Bloober Team’s and our respective characteristics and strengths to create high-quality contents

In recent years Konami have scaled their development efforts way back. This has left some of their long running franchises sitting so this may be an attempt to get them back on the market. Known for their horror titles, Bloober Team released The Medium earlier this year. (Our Review) Recent releases also include 2019’s Blair Witch (Our Review), and the Layers of Fear series. (Our Review) What horror series does Konami have to partner with? Unless they’re going to take Castlevania in a much darker direction, Silent Hill feels like the obvious choice. Still, at this time no game has been announced.
