Or You Can Heed The Call Of Duty
Sony this morning announced their July PlayStation Plus titles and it looks to be a high profile month.
Once again Sony will be offering a PS5 exclusive title. This time its the new PS5 release of A Plague Tale: Innocence. We brought you news just a couple weeks ago that Innocence was coming to next generation consoles. With a July 6th release date, that means Plus members will get the game on day one. We were fans of the original release, giving it a 4/5, so we’d recommend checking it out upon release.
That’s not the only high profile game coming. PS4 players will get two games they can play as well. First up is Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII. (Yes, that’s the I four times for 4. No, I don’t know why they didn’t just use IV.) While Call of Duty fans tend to stay with the newest title, more casual fans may enjoy jumping into a game from time to time and be less concerned about what version it is. Be warned however, Black Ops IIII was the year Call of Duty tried going without single player. It still features online multiplayer, Blackout battle royale, and Zombies so there’s plenty to do.
The last game is WWE 2K Battlegrounds. A more arcade style wrestling game, this could be a good one for multiplayer enthusiasts as well.
These games go live for PlayStation Plus members on July 6th and will remain available through August 2nd. Until then, there’s still time for members to grab the June games. Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown (Our Review), Operation Tango (Our Review), and Star Wars Squadrons are there to help keep you busy, at least until July 6th. Check out a trailer for the next generation version of A Plague Tale: Innocence below.
