Mario Party Superstars will release for the Switch on October 29, 2021. Nintendo announced this latest installment of its long-running party game series during today’s E3 2021 Nintendo Direct broadcast.
Now available to pre-order on the Nintendo Switch eShop, it bundles together five classic boards from the Nintendo 64 era featuring 100 minigames from the franchise’s history, including Shy Guy Says and Mushroom Mix-Up. The best part? Mario Party Superstars takes game night beyond the living room, as every game mode can now be played online. Also, you don’t have to play with friends, either, because the game has built-in global matchmaking. Bold move, Nintendo, a bold move indeed!
The Nintendo Direct announcement trailer is pretty brief, lasting less than two minutes. However, it does a great job of showcasing the fan-favorite minigames and maps featuring in the game, such as Space Land and Peach’s Birthday Cake.
